Having a BALL/Taking Cinderella out for the evening! :)

Hey everyone! This weekend was one of the best weekends I've had in a while (and by that I mean since last weekend)! Friday evening a few of my friends came over (Brent and David) and we had a great time just chillin, throwing the football around and catching up. We then went to Dairy Queen where we got some good ole' fashoned blizzards...YUM! Throughout that Friday I was anxiously awaiting Emily's arrival! I told David and Brent that she would be here early saturday morning (she lives like 2.5 hours away) and that I was going to bed (this was around 10pm) so they had to go. After they left I decided to give Em a text to see what she was up to so that we could have our Phone Date. Lo and behold she calls and I can hear the wind whipping by as she is driving. So I asked her what she was doing and she said she was so excited (because we had a Ball for ROTC) and couldn't sleep so she was driving around after she went to wal-mart for her mom, also that she had everything packed and ready to roll for tomorrow (that set off my thoughts of her coming early to suprise me)...haha. She said she was on her way home so that she could take care of some business so she had to go...about 10 min. later I get a call and she's at my house!! I was so stoked that she came early, she actually suprised me and it was wonderful!

On to saturday...
Saturday was a great day, although it was dreary and rainy out, the temperature was in the mid 60's and comfortable. Em and I pretty much bummed it around all day until we had to get ready for the Military Ball (ROTC Function) which was incredible! I was on the honor guard for the ball, in which we did the sabre arch so that the graduating senior cadets could walk through with their dates, it was crisp, clean and nice! I was privledged to be selected for the honor guard! Emily might I add looked so beautiful in her ball gown. She was my cinderella for the evening as I was her prince charming! It was such a fun and beautiful night all together!

Sunday...
Em and I slept in because it ended up being a late night so instead of going to church, we held a bible study of our own. We used the devotional book that I'm using for my personal quiet time called experiencing the heart of Jesus by Max Lucado. It's an incredible study you should check it out! After we had our study we met up with some friends of ours for a double date at Don Pablo's mexican resturant for lunch. IT was sooooo good and we had a great time! After Don Pablo's we came back to my house and chilled, until Emily had to leave...sad times...but it's all good because I will get to see her again this weekend :)

Well all I hope you enjoy reading my blog! Take care and keep reading!
